Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and polypropylene (PP) are common in consumer packaging, such as shrink films, stretch films, pouches, garment bags, and plastic wraps. However, these materials present a significant sustainability challenge. Their recycling is complicated by the difficulty in collecting discarded films and bags, as well as the presence of inks and adhesives that degrade the quality of recycled resins, making effective recycling a complex issue for waste management and brands.
